Diagnostic studies constitute an important part of health services. Diagnostic examination results that guide the clinical decision-making process are produced as a result of studies carried out in laboratories and imaging centers by Medical Biochemistry, Medical Microbiology, Medical Genetics, Pathology, Radiology and Nuclear Medicine experts. The results of all these studies are directed to the relevant clinician for each patient and it is aimed to achieve the best results for patient health. However, today's increasing complexity of healthcare services has eliminated the need for a single person responsible for a patient in one place. Thanks to increasingly advanced technological tools such as electronic health records, hospital information management systems, digital imaging tools, and clinical decision support systems, patient data is stored and analyzed much more easily and it becomes possible to create more value in healthcare services. However, with developing technologies, it has become clear that there is a need for innovations in the service provided. Integrated diagnostic approach (Integrated Diagnostics) has come to the fore as a new concept to address this need. In this session, the Integrated Diagnostic Approach will be explained in all its aspects through the concept of value in health services and the diagnostic process, and will be discussed through existing literature and cases.
