The antibacterial/antiviral activity and skin barrier function-reinforcing effect of GO-VC for skin roughness after using alcohol-based hand sanitizers

GO-VC is a highly stable amphiphilic ascorbic acid derivative where glycerin and octanol are introduced to ascorbic acid, and has been confirmed to have antibacterial and antiviral activities.

Therefore, the addition of GO-VC to the alcohol-based hand sanitizers is considered to lead to the enhancement of the antibacterial and antiviral activities. Furthermore, GO-VC could reinforce the skin barrier function through the up-regulation of tight junctions, resulting in the suppression of skin dryness.

Therefore, GO-VC is suitable for the care of skin roughness and dryness after using alcohol-based hand sanitizers. In addition, GO-VC has been confirmed of clinical effects on the spots, wrinkles, and acne by dermatologists and their action mechanism, and is also recommended to add to cosmetic products for anti-aging.

In this seminar, we will introduce the various effects of GO-VC on the skin in detail.
