What does the revamped New Hospitals Programme mean for the industry?

On-demand

Overview

Earlier this year the rebooted plan for the New Hospitals Programme (NHP), which was first announced in 2019 and set out plans to build 40 hospitals by 2030. The NHP is now using a modular design concept called ‘Hospital 2.0’ for at least 14 schemes. These will be built using standardised components and modern methods of construction, aiming for 25% faster completion.

In this session our panel will explore what the approach means for the industry, how it will impact other major construction programmes and what it means for the future of modular and MMC moving forward. They will also discuss how the new-look programme differs from the original proposal and the challenges and opportunities this presents the sector.
