Omics technologies have opened new horizons for laboratory medicine, allowing the in-depth analysis of biological molecules and systems at different levels. Genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and lipidomics are some of the omics disciplines that have been used to address various clinical and research questions, such as the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of diseases, the discovery of biomarkers, and the elucidation of molecular mechanisms and pathways. In this webinar, we will listen to three young scientists who will share their experience and expertise on omics applications in laboratory medicine. The webinar will be a chance to learn from the experiences and insights of young scientists who are leading the way in omics research and practice. We hope you will join us for this engaging and informative webinar.
This webinar comprises of three following presentations of 20 min each followed by 20 min of panel discussion at the end.
Chair: Dr. Aleksei Tikhonov
Talk 1- "Genomics of mitochondrial diseases: current approaches for molecular diagnosis" - Ms. Daniela Alejandra Pibernus
Talk 2- "What can proteomics bring to the monogenic disease diagnostics table?" - Dr. Ksenia Kuznetsova
Talk 3- "Lost in translation - a story of one clinical lipidomics project" -Dr. Olya Vvedenskaya
