Overview

Metrology is the science of measurements and their applications. It deals with the measurements, systems of units and instruments used to make them. Based on the data obtained from the measurements, decisions are taken. That is why it is very important that these data are reliable, reproducible and comparable between laboratories. The aim of metrology is to define and materialize the units of measurement and establish the traceability chain.

We invite you to participate in this webinar, where the speakers will discuss the topic. The Webinar will consist of three talks (20 minutes each) and will be followed by the panel discussion. Registrants will be able to ask questions to the presenters.

Chair: Dr Ana Lena

  • 'Basic concepts of metrology. Applications in the clinical laboratory', by Dr. Ana Piana.
  • 'Traceability of the measures. Reference Materials', by Dr. Melina Pérez Urquiza
  • 'Estimation of the uncertainty of measurement in the clinical laboratory', by Dr. Raul Girardi

Certificate of participation will be provided at the end of this webinar. Please feel free to share this event in your social media with #IFCCLive Webinars
