Overview

With the recent cybersecurity threats and attacks, including breached content, the shutdown and lock outs of systems and the recurrence of ransomware, the reality of the need for zero-trust and cybersecure systems is evident. The White House responded with a new Cybersecurity Executive Order that lays out and defines stringent mandates to update policies and procedures across government entities for adopting cybersecurity best practices.

These security mandates impact everything from contracting to supplier diligence, providing from 30 to 360 days to draft and implement updated policies. The executive order, especially Section 3 as it pertains to initiatives to Modernize Federal Government Cybersecurity, will materially impact VDS solutions as most legacy systems have relied on physical security versus cybersecurity. This order will be transformational for VDS.

This webinar will walk you through VDS cybersecurity best practices for advancing towards a zero-trust architecture and towards a secure cloud. You will learn:

  1. Which sections of the executive order apply to Video Distribution Systems implementations? How will this effect my current systems?
  2. What is the difference between NIST certification module and Application Implementation?
  3. What is CNSA (formerly Suite B) Cybersecurity Requirements? Why is it important?
  4. Within 180 days of the date of this order, agencies shall adopt multi-factor authentication and encryption for data at rest and in transit. What does that mean for VDS systems?
  5. Can you futureproof Cybersecurity?
  6. Secure VDS in the Cloud – SaaS, IaaS, PaaS possibilities.
This webinar has been approved by CompTIA for 1 CEU for: A+, Network+, Security+, Linux+, Cloud+ and by GIAC for 1 CPE.
